Hyeon-Jin received her B.A. in English at the University of Maryland and continued her education earning an M.S. at the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine (ACTCM) in San Francisco. She is NCCAOM board certified to practice acupuncture and herbology in Maryland and New York. After many years of working in corporate and academia, she realized her calling to be a healer. Hyeon-Jin chose to attend ACTCM based on their strong academic program, quality of the faculty, and access to the oldest Chinatown in North America. She witnessed first hand the old world doctors practicing medicine in ways that are not taught in school or can be found in textbooks.
In addition to treating many conditions and ailments, Hyeon-Jin has a special interest in facial rejuvenation, pediatrics, and infertility. She has been trained in 3 different styles of facial rejuvenation and tailors a plan specific to the patient. She is part of the first cohort of acupuncturists to complete the Pediatrics Certificate. She is currently studying to become the first Maryland certified practitioner of the American Board of Oriental Reproductive Medicine. Hyeon-Jin believes deeply in this rich medicine and encourages patients to be active participants in their journey to reach optimal health.
